I'm a fan of Choice Radio and in the afternoon it's normally request hour. What's puzzles me are those guys who call the studio to request for a certain song to be played.

Isnt it easier to go to youtube and download the specific song and listen back to back? Mbona ujisumbue na kupiga simu kwa studio where they will put you on hold mpaka credit iishe?

Promotes artists. Each radio station has play log somewhere generated by the play-out system they are using. This play log is usually used to pay the artist's royalties. At the same time, the station can query from the play-log the most played/requested song (Top 10 or 5...)
