Why are people occupying statehouse tomorrow? I support protests but this one I am not sure what it is about. I thought it’s to grieve with the dead gen Z. I of course want Ruto out, but democratically and without stealing of votes. So kama occupy statehouse is to remove Mr. 19% as president then I’m not boarding.

But if it’s to present a list of grievances to Ruto himself then I’m fine with it.

A democratic removal is what any rational mind would wish for. My only worry is that a few years from now, we might be wishing we did something more drastic. Picture this, Ruto has the nerve to hire and arm goons to counter demonstrations in the full visibility of the media and city residents. What do you think he is capable of in environments where no one is watching? We have been mistaking Ruto for a normal, reasonable human being and that might cost us dearly a few years from now.

Didn't you see how he was determined to make the Adani deal happen even when the whole country was against it? A normal thief would pull back and blame it on oversight or something. But he wasn't going to do so because he is not your normal human. Something else, the utterances of his closest lieutenants should inform you on his thinking.

Indeed , temperatures had cooled after last year's protests and abductions but Albert Ojwang's situation ignited the fire.
