Not really, it's just a matter of being honest not to con people and not greedy to overpriced things.
It's common biz knowledge, the problem we have as a modern society, is quick success.
Chasing quick money, leads you to conning people and overpricing your products and services.

True. The few walalo I have dealt with hawana tamaa ya pesa mingi kwa biz. Especially is you do repeated business with them,you will get stuff at almost ex-factory cost.

Nope, and it's not because they're honest. Plenty of blood money coming from across the border so engaging in fraud ni kama kujichomea wire (ask Malong Yor Jr.). However I must admit Muslim businessmen are generally more straightforward than any others. Just look at Shari'a banking.

How is it honesty while very many of them don't pay taxes .Enda Eastleigh nunua vitu hata za 150k and utapata hakuna ETR . Uliza my good friend @Syndicate kama ashawahi pewa etr on all items zile anauza .
To me a big number is almost the same as organised criminals with a ring leader in power.Ask yourself how is it that its only them that have succeeded in freight forwarding from US,UK ,Dubai and China .

For usa and uk there is no way they can avoid paying taxes .. no way.Kenya yes but impossible uk and usa

Sijasema hawalipi taxes huko inje ,since hata sijui the taxes that a business pays in other countries .My point is locally their businesses don't pay fees starting with duty all the way to vat kwa duka . And the same crooked ways most probably flow all the way to income tax returns .
Please note si wote crooked but it's the majority .
 
The Kikuyu business men I know, their word is as good as a written contract. Wachana na shiny eye hawkers and small time hustlers .

Wakisema wanalipa tax you won't buy goods from them after all no one feels good paying taxes just that we don't have much of a choice.
