Should we close our borders against chinese?

Si we can do both. Close a border and share knowledge. Yes, closing a border is inconvenient, but it is effective. Future cost of an unknown pandemic may end up being higher than present inconveniences. We do not know.

Working together and sharing knowledge can be done with borders closed. Developed nations like Russia have closed their borders.

Your title needs correcting. The right proposition is "close the doors to."
The answer is yes. The Chinese and everybody else would close the doors to Kenyans if we had an epidemic. Remember you're personally responsible for your own well-being and nobody else.

So you would rather we take a chance on China Southern Airlines bringing in infected passengers because when Kalazar breaks out in Wajir,we do not want the Chinese closing us out if China?
How many Wajir residents (who might have Kalazar) might fly to China?

Just ask yourselves why are we dragging feet on evacuation of kenyans in wuhan but let chinks fly in and out as they so wish!

It's not like China is doing nothing about the contagion, or is it? A part of my brain tells me COVID19 is a designer virus meant to lead to the isolation of China....who some people think need to be slowed down...

So our marriage to China is in sickness and health? If COVID had come from Kenya, would they keep their borders open? Are they providing support for countries infected by their citizens?

China is doing all it can including build a hospital from scratch in one weekend. But why is it that while others,who have better facilities to deal with this outbreak,are closing their space to the Chinese,and us (who flock to dangerous scenes like moths to a flame) have seen it fit not to react in any way. But we do give pressers on our preparedness and check incoming passengers with thermal thermometers!
I found it funny that Kenyans complained that KQ was still flying to China but didn't talk of China Southern Airlines.
About the virus being specifically made for the Chinese,the theorists will tell us more...

Should be closed like yesterday. The consequences and aftermath are better imagined than experienced.

The way you say countries infected by their citizens is like the virus is their responsibility; like they brought around and they should now bear the cost of management. We are a globalized community, we need to behave like one.
