But when I fueled at shell recently on three occasions, the distance was unbelievably short and I had to refuel again.

Shifted to total and I have never looked back, the shell petrol station is 600 meters from my domicile but I don't mind going a Kilometre and a half to total. I pity their staff who are okay guys.

I use total or rubis, sijewai ona any issue , shell from kitambo I avoid them due to the numerous issues in social media.
