There is a saying to the effect that you should never shoot the messenger. Consequently a harbinger and bearer of controversial or bad news has recognisable and enforceable safety rights.
The reason I have gone into all this trouble of carefully laying this important background is because I, rightfully or wrongfully it now emerges, expected our indomitable @Cortedivoire to break this sad news with all the solemnity it rightfully deserves.
