Russia Controls 99 Percent of Bakhmut

The west is fighting Russia. Western media is as usual supporting the western governments. Just like they did with Iraq and Afghanistan wars. Shamelessly biased. Treat their reports the same way you would treat RT/TASS/Pravda.
Hapa ndipo soft power comes in. How many people consumer Russian Tv or news publications, heck hata social media how many pro russian pundits / channels exist and whats their reach?
The other hedgemon China is a good student, they are doing very well with CGTN. Shida yao ni social / cultural influence can't grow beyond a certain level because government exerts a certain amount of control on arts.
The other rising hedgemon India also appreciates the task, tho starting from a low finacial position, their social / cultural influence will eclipse China due to the fact that bollywood is not handicapped by the state.

RT/TASS/Pravda.
Actually, these are much more credible than the CNNs, especially during this conflict. The Russian sources will report what Western sources will not, while the CNNs will lie to their audiences blatantly. If something is unfavorable to Russia, their news sources will mention it in passing. When something is unfavorable to the West, their sources will spin it to avoid painting the real picture. So far, according to the CNNs, Ukraine is still contesting Bakhmut, despite losing 99% of the city over several months of intense conflict.

I am a follower of RT, quited CNN after it proved too liberal to my tastes, but I believe in sieving news from any source, since it's owners always have a dog in each and every fight.

It’s difficult to sieve news when each side is biased, I have chosen to ignore it altogether I’ll wait for the history books to be written

You will meet the same problem hapo pia. E.g during WWII allied soldiers also committed lots of war crimes, these is a taboo topic even for present day historians and you would need to dig pretty deep to find such details
like this fellow, had many opportunities to tell the story but never did

If you trek back to the 1900s and start following historical events with an open mind, you would most likely reach radically different conclusions from what the mainstream society holds as the truth. The countries that started conflict had genuine grievances that don't receive much light today. You don't even need to go far for good examples: If Kenya had not gained independence, Mau Mau would have remained terrorists in written history.

History is written by the Victors!

The allied forces led by the US did bad things to the Germans, calling them Krauts.
