All the information related to membership, member posts and interaction with other members .. everything in the various social media platforms, is contained in a single database.


  1. What value can be extracted from the following databases which will now exist forever.
  2. Mashada.com
  3. Rcbowen.com
  4. Nipate org/com
  5. Jukwaa.com
  6. Kenyanlist.com
  7. Kenyatalk.com
  8. Etc

I have acquired 3 (189,147, 268 GB) that are now dead and hope to get more.

I'd also like a copy could you share? I can think of some interesting projects as I explore it. But I bet the bulk of it is media, images & videos

For sql DBs its possible to make a copy of the db excluding images and videos so you end up with a new db that is less then half original db size.

Some of the now dead DBs did not allow video/image upload or had quoters per user.

The data is on a 1TB external drive.

It is intended to be available on a web site later by people who seem to know sh!t I don't. Wanasema nitajua sijui data is the new oil.

Ati useing free open source big data tools.

It may yield some useful insights but like in all things there's a bit of hype in data being the new oil. All depends on the type of data and how clean it is.

Also would be interesting to know how they came across that data
