Prof. George Saitoti was the second Kenyan to get a PhD in Mathematics.

He got it from the University of Warwick (UK) in 1972, and his Thesis title was Mod-2 K-Theory of the Second Iterated Loop Space on a Sphere.

Not the commonly held myth that he proved 0 is a number. That was proven by an Indian mathematician, Brahmagupta

Nowadays kuna vitu naona ama mtu aniongelesha and akili na masikio rapidly shuts down . This is one of those things .

Nowadays thesis are written by hired goons pale githurai ,the graduates cannot defend their write ups .Education in Kenya is too commercialized, they even buy the hardwares ! Zero innovation, zero creativity !
