What does confiscating a yacht here and a palatial home there have to do with confronting the physical invasion of an 'ally'?
 
What the west is doing to Ukraine is terrible. You don't incite a weakling to a war they cannot win and fail to support them. The only realistic way out of this for Ukraine is to surrender. Russia's objective is to destroy Ukraines military and overthrow Zelensky.

As @wrongturn said, Russian will grozinify Kyiv. They will pound it to submission at a very high cost of Ukrainian lives. This is urban warfare where civilian buildings are used for cover.. When a sniper shoots at your position from the fifth floor of a building, you respond with the weapon you have. Sometimes it happens to be a tank round.

Russian steel giant Severstal suspends sales to Europe amid sanctions

The move has come after billionaire owner Alexei Mordashov was sanctioned by the EU. (Bloomberg)

Serverstal sold around three million tons of steel to Europe per year, and is now looking for alternative locations.


these sanctions will hurt many, now Russia has stopped steel exports to Europe, China has a bigger market.

Good point right there @bigDog.
This morning on my commute to work, LBC radio had a phone in session on matters Ukraine.
A lady called in angrily about the fact that UK is welcoming Ukrainian refugees here and also giving more aid to the country.
According to her, UK has done more than her fair share by supplying them sophisticated arms and it is now time for other countries to play their part by hosting Ukrainian refugees and giving more aid. I can assure you that this is not a solitary view here.

What most NATO countries forget is that Ukraine is fighting a proxy war on their behalf. It is very unlikely Ukraine would go to war if NATO was nowhere on sight.
