Cost-Benefit Breakdown of Locally-fabricated Buses

Benefits
Costs
  1. A few (500) low-cadre employees get employment
  2. A few owners (10) of body-fabrication workshops mint millions.
  1. Close to 40 million Kenyans are ferried in low quality buses hence reduced comfort.
  2. Investors in the transport industry are shortchanged by being forced to attach low-quality bodies to new 'chassis'
  3. Bodies break down before the vehicle's end-of- life cycle is over.
  4. Increased fatalities during accidents
  5. Loss of forex in buying steel to fabricate inferior products

Kweli ng'ombe ni ng'ombe tu, it would have neen easier to fix their safety issues, kuna kitu inaitwa brand recognition which they enjoyed, with one swift move that has now gone down the drain, sasa is it Rail Line ama Lothian? Na those ugly colours, argh!

Why are the local medium size buses so f*cking ugly... kwani the fabricators all agreed to just put up shit? Safety and comfort hata sitaongelea, we've never placed a premium on those before, hatutaanza leo.
depends on the customers specifications
