What is the secret of this town? All the big supermarkets started there, Nakumat, Tuskys, Naivas (more or less), Quickmart....Hardwares mob.

It seems that is where money flows at the grass roots and you can do good business. Hapa Nairobi inorder for you to make it you have to be part of the cartel, otherwise hakuna biashara utafanya hapa, most that have tried starting up in Nairobi without cartel connections have died!

Nairobi is for the cartels and the employed folks only, Period! Convince me otherwise

That's true, Nairobi is not startup friendly, that's why supermarkets start in Naks and once they have gained enough muscle they can push into Nairobi

Centrally placed. It was actually meant to have been declared a city by now - Kenya's 4th. Lovely place with very nice weather too.

Night clubs too. Taidys, Signature, 64 started huko Naks and Eldy but when they got to Nai things were not as rosy.
