Naivasha Town is still rubbing its eyes after witnessing what can only be described as a real-life maize marathon. Residents were left stunned when a man hauled a 90-kilogram bag of maize on his back all the way from Karagita–Matangi to Naivasha town, a distance of 9 km.

The jaw-dropping journey was sparked by a daring bet with his boss, who clearly underestimated both the man’s muscles and his commitment to winning KSh 92,000. Defying logic, gravity, and probably several backaches, the man completed the trek, turning the road into an impromptu spectator sport.

Onlookers lined the route, cheering, laughing, and wondering whether to offer water, moral support, or a wheelbarrow. By the time he reached town, he had not only won the bet but also secured local legend status.

The feat has since become the talk of Naivasha, with residents praising his strength, endurance, and reminding bosses everywhere to choose their bets wisely.
