Murkomen: President Ruto Critics are Tribalist

Those who died because of the botched attempt to migrate from NHIF or were abducted and murdered or killed in the streets did not get a chance to be tribal or wait for 2027.

Mediocrity, incompetence and malice is not tribal, the same way his expensive watches and belts he was parading for Kenyans were.

The last line of defense for these thugs is to cry community persecution. Yet, many of the people criticizing Ruto are the same ones who believed and had hopes in his promises. Man gets elected and the first thing he does is to buy bespoke suits and super expensive shoes and watches, meaning he is a showman whose only hope is to dazzle people rather than deliver.

A government may fail to deliver many of its promises due to constraints beyond its control. And that is understandable. However, starting a term with large-scale looting is alarming even for eternal optimists.
