Mt Kenya will not allow Uhuru to be criticised

The comments on this post tell the whole story of how deeply rooted tribalism is. For many years, Raila bore the brunt of hatred from Mt. Kenya. For some reason, that hatred is now directed toward the President, whom they almost voted for unanimously. The irony is that they now see Uhuru as an angel with zero faults, someone no one is allowed to criticize.

Nobody cares about Uhuru, but we are irked when the government makes him the blame object for its failures. Instead of addressing the challenges facing the country they are addressing Uhuru. Uhuru was terrible, but Ruto's disastrous performance makes Uhuru look tolerable.

If we were to reverse time and raila had won the presidency and then from that point everything remained constant his passing ,the war with iran do you honestly think we would be having maandamano in mt kenya with a martha karua presidency.
Again this is the constant talk mrima they never had demos during his presidency which is ironical considering the demos that were held by opposition back then

You always take comfort in employing hypotheticals, and conveniently forget that Mt. Kenya rejected Uhuru due to a poorly performing economy. Ruto was elected purely on the strength of his promises. Mt. Kenya is more sensitive to economic shocks compared to other regions, and that is why they feel the pain before others when the economy is not doing well.
Ruto should be reading this instead of scapegoating. If the current situation continues, the pain will eventually be felt everywhere, even in his own home village, and he won't be able to stop the reaction. Now that every professional body is against the finance bill, are we also going to blame Mt. Kenya?
