Through their many peugeot station wagons, Mombasa Peugeot Service (MPS) was a popular pooled taxi service between Nairobi and Mombasa in the 1970.

Am not sure how authentic this is. Just received from another group.

There is a French Movie to be filmed in the Country in January and February 2020
The movie script is in the 1970s and we are Looking for Peugeots Car's of
Year 50/60 and 70s. There's Payment Compensation for using the Car.

Me thinks today's vehicles are faster only that in the olden days this was the fastest mode of public transport in comparison with Leyland buses. But even today they would still be considered pretty fast for public transport

Those cars were slow by comparison.
Just that the roads were clear. As an illustration, its possible to do Nairobi-Thika in 20mins without traffic. That was the situation then, hence the perception of superfast cars.
