That will be a valueless tip if it was being told to a Maasai! Because I strongly believe that it is only practical if one was to encounter a single animal that is not rabid by any chance. What should one do if one encounters a pack of 2 or more hyenas? What should one do if they are somehow excited and aggressive? And even the less dangerous single animal, isn't there a point when one should call for help?

Ukweli wa mambo ni kwamba, confront a hyena at your own risk. And if you come across several in a pack and that are somehow excited, know that you are summarily a goner!

If those guys husumbua even the mighty Mufasa, who would you be?

Sir Atten Mburu is trading half truths, 1st, that's an old or injured lion, not the lion that was rescued by the ally, all predators can detect vulnerable prey and don't compare yourself to an animal, as long as you can think fast, 1st you can climb a tree, an old lion can't, you can pick a stone or a twig and scare dem hyenas away but kama umekunywa vyang'a na unalalalala kwa mtaro, you will be very easy prey.

8. Pick any stones and rocks around you and show intent to launch them against the animal should it approach. That is how your ancestors made it out of the Savannah.
Early humans were defenseless save for the ability to throw stones. Prey animals will instinctively scamper at the sight of flying objects, probably from a memory passed through the generations from the early days when they had humans as a menu item.
