This is an ugly stain to our collective conscience.
What a shame and a bummer that Kenyans rush to accident scenes pretending to be Good Samaritans only to turn out to be Tomb Raiders, stealing from the dead and the dying.

I once heard of an incident where Guys beat to death an injured person who was fiercely resisting being ransacked and pilfered.
One would imagine that with all of our religiosity and piety, virtue and propriety would win the day.

Umenikubusha time fulani huko early 2000s nilikuwa natoka Zanze Bar pale Kenya sinema na huko masaa sita usiku. I would then cross Moi Avenue to pick No. 15 to Langata hapo KTDA, just metres away.

Every time I would tip the chokoraas outside Kenya Cinema mpaka nikakuwa mmoja wao.

This one day the demons got into them and they snatched my phone. I felt super-betrayed.

Only a person very close to me stopped me from taking epic revenge.

Nilikuwa nimeplan kubuy maziwa kama packet 30 niziinject na dawa fulani halafu niziwache hapo (like unaweza weka kwa bag dirty ya Uchumi you just leave it as you drive away).

Wrong is wrong. The next time a hustler mugs you on your way home or breaks into your home, I hope you will be happy to baraki them.
This is someone's business. Even if they recoup their loss from insurance, the insurance companies pass the costs down to wanjiku in form of higher premiums.
We all pay.
