Useless bunch of imbeciles ,hata saa zile walikuwa na allowances they would wait till late and mostly in the dark to fix the problem .Wengine wetu hatunanga allowances and we even work usiku wa manane .There has been a go-slow sababu the new management withdrew overtime allowances. I wouldn't be surprised if they have escalated them to shutdowns.
You are thinking like that coz you run your own hustle, wait till you land government employment or contract then get co opted into the system and your thinking now will be unidentifiable within 2 short years.Useless bunch of imbeciles ,hata saa zile walikuwa na allowances they would wait till late and mostly in the dark to fix the problem .Wengine wetu hatunanga allowances and we even work usiku wa manane .
I remember I built the LAN infrastructure in one of the computer rooms pale Muranga TTC from 8pm through the night and next day 11am I was done .

KENGEN- Generates power and sells in bulk to retailerWhat do u mean overtime. I thought there are some shit companies contracted to maintain certain power lines on the grid
Whose responsibility is it to step down the power into the various transmission voltages?KETRACO- Responsible for the development and maintenance of Infrastructure for bulk power evacuation from generating point to substations where it is stepped down
Huonangi nikimuita musub-county?thought you were in Mt Kenya mkumbwa, unafanya nini Rift Valley
@Mwalimu-G, suddenly you disappear with no answer or you still googling?Whose responsibility is it to step down the power into the various transmission voltages?
From 132kv in the national grid, to 33kv in regional grids and 11kv in localized grids?
Or at which point does Kenya Power take over?
Ewaso Nyiro Development Authority. Do they play part in the above?KENGEN- Generates power and sells in bulk to retailer
KETRACO- Responsible for the development and maintenance of Infrastructure for bulk power evacuation from generating point to substations where it is stepped down.
Kenya Power- Picks stepped down power from substations to customers either in single phase or three phase (domestic/light office and industrial)
Rural Electrification Authority- recently renamed Rural Electrification and Renewable Energy Corporation (REREC) -responsible for connecting villages previously unreached and which Kenya Power thought were uneconomical. Once it has installed the necessary transmission wires, transformers (usually using contractors) it hands over the newly connected customers to Kenya Power for metering and supply. Kenya Power takes over the maintenance of the supply infrastructure hence it has personnel who are demanding OT pay when they work beyond their eight to five day. It also has Emergency crew who work round the clock to deal with outages and other emergencies.
Other players in the Electric Power sector include Tana and Athi Rivers Development Authority (TARDA), Kerio Valley Development Authority (KVDA) and the Lake Basin Development Authority who own the Seven Forks Dams, Turkwel Dam and Sondu Miriu Dam used by Kengen for Generating power.
There are also the private investors in the power production called Independent Power Producers (IPPs).
Another key player if the Geothermal Development Corporation (GDC) tasked with exploration of geothermal potential and development of viable steam wells which it gives out to generators such as KENGEN
sorry, nilikuwa nafungia mbusi.@Mwalimu-G, suddenly you disappear with no answer or you still googling?
