Ruto is in dire political straights. We the supporters are dumbfounded.
We might have over estimated the mans political smarts after all. How can one be so universally disliked only two years after beating all odds and winning the presidency on a populist platform? Maajabu haya!

Trying to sell Kenyan assets to Adani without following a transparent process was his undoing as it painted him as a ruthless and shameless thief, even to those that had given him the benefit of the doubt. He made it worse by ignoring opposing voices from the entire country, while bribing senate and parliament to stay in line. Then, to top it all, he crucifies Gachagua for much lesser crimes than his own.

He is yet to understand that we are in a different era, where politicians are held accountable for the promises they make. He promised a government that will look after the interests of those at the bottom, but delivered something worse than what he replaced.

Going forward, Kenyans should vote for character, not empty promises. There was a big red flag when no one could articulate what bottom up was and how it was supposed to work.
