Anyone telling you usiweke siasa kwa roho is politely telling you to accept mediocrity, incompetence and abuse of public trust and resources. The only way you can stop putting siasa kwa roho is if the Government was not taking 32% of your salary as PAYE, 16% of your entire budget as VAT, and if, Public Service was functional and dependable. Even the man who coined that saying, Jackson Mandago, ended up running away with 1.2 billion Kenya shillings from poor parents seeking the best for their children.
I guess a parent who sold their land or tractor to educate their kids, only to get coned by the likes of Mandago and his choir will put siasa kwa roho until the end of times! Siasa has a very direct impact to your life and future. Politics is a matter of life and death. You pay tax which pays salaries to doctors, you pay SHA to cater for the medication only to get to hospital and find doctors are on strike due to salary then a politician calls for press conference just to mock the doctors and threatening to sack them.
In Kenya, everyone who joins politics, and goes to Parliament, Senate or County Assembly, automatically thinks they are genius, and their word is law and should not be questioned. That is why we have so many stupid people putting across stupid opinion, and expect to be praised for simply being stupid. But there is a false feeling that being part of Government and wilding power is proof of absolute wisdom. You watch an interview featuring a top ranking politician on a national and wonder whether the young guys supposed to come home dead for some thick heads to believe they were kidnapped!
A grown up arguing that a kid looks so clean to have been under kidnappers is evidence that education did not do to them any good. Some are even claiming that they refused to speak to the media. Common sense dictate that they were warned against doing so. What I'm really waiting to hear from the boys is where they were held and by who. This will solve so many political questions.
The impeachment of Rigathi Gachagua is another reason siasa iko kwa roho za watu. Lazima tuiweke kwa roho: Watch
