That Lady should have sought legal advise before speaking to the Press.
She has unknowingly opened new fronts where a serious Investigator could dig and open up new charges.
For example, is she implying that the Son took the car without her permission? If so would she be happy for the Police to charge him with Motor Vehicle theft?
She volunteers that the Young Man routinely drives that car. Fair enough, but is he insured to drive the said Car? If not has he not been breaking the Law by driving without insurance?
She says that the Police demanded a bribe and her Son was willing to fundraise the amount from his Friends. Bribery in itself is a crime punishable by law.
Luckily for her at this moment in time, her statement to the Press is just hearsay.

Just answer the questions and the dawbacks thereof
Ask yourself if at any point in time, when your were in your 19s whether or not
If you would have done such a thing.
Actually the most obvious question you would be doing is asking and demanding answers from elsewhere.

Personally I respect the law . Have never ever been involved privately with Police ONLY OFFICIALLY. Mimi traffic police akini flag I obey and request thim /her to kindly note all traffic offences in my notebook so that I can rectify immediately !
