Imagine someone invested a whole 60 mirrions while many peasants also financed what is now termed to be a multi-billion scam since the entry point was at 50K.

I remember someone telling me to invest in the greenhouses purportedly because Maina & King'ang'i in the morning had great praise for the said opportunity.

Economics 101 states that don't put your eggs into a basket that you have no idea about and so I can only feel sad for the poor Kenyans who've been scammed their hard-earned money and massive loans that they took.

Kiuliso tu, how do you 'invest' 320K expecting a windfall of 550K in 6 months??

As I always opine, you can never be conned unless you are greedy but sometimes, it takes a little bit of greed to omoka in one way or the other.

A few months back Maina Kageni posted the "Boma Yangu" houses at parkroad Ngara on FB, ile matusi alipata wacha tu, mpaka watu wakaanza kusema ni scam cos of his association with them.
 
Hizi vitu tulisema ni scam tangu 2010. They were designed to con tumtu twa ofisi who have no idea where reality ends and fantasy begins. The kind of returns they were lured with do not exist even in illegal drugs trade. Second, when a land sale is bundled with many other offers, someone is trying to sell you land at exorbitant prices while using the other offerings to blind you from seeing the con game.
 
This is one of the worst economic crimes. It destroys people's savings and sometimes families. It discourages people investing for fear of being conned. Any organization taking money from the public should be strictly regulated. We not only have weak regulation, we let those criminals walk away. Why should this criminality be allowed?

In the USA ,the judge literally threw the book at Bernie Maddoff for operating a ponzi scheme. He got life (150 years) behind bars. In China, they execute for running such a scheme. You pay with your life.
