Habari wadau.

I need advice on fish farming. First question is do kyuks love fish? My market will be mostly Kyuks who are my neighbors.

The other questions:

1) How much big of a space do I need?
2) What variety of fish do kyuks like the most? Najua Omena hawatakula but which other variety?

I recently went to visit a fish farm called Tigoi in Vihiga. The lady teaches her fellow county mates amd people who come from all over the country the basics and advanced fish farming techniques. She goes for her lessons at a farm in Kiambu :ROFLMAO: . I may not have answered your question directly, but hopefully opened your eyes kidogo.

I personally like tilapia na sijawahi kosa Kiambu in the last couple of years. Nimeona pia watu wakiuza catfish. But I only speak for one Kikuyu.

See also an NGO called Msingi. They have fish farming programmes running for a couple years now.

Shida za wakikuyu na samaki ni mbili;
1). Mifupa
2). How to prepare and cook.

Solutions.

1. Fillet the fish for them.
Wauzie just the (steak). They don't want to gut, rescale and eat the head using their fingers to chokora the eyes out of the sockets!...
And they don't even know how to do it anyway.

2. Waonyeshe how easy it is to shallow fry a tilapia fillet in a pan.
Even better, spice and fry it yourself and sell it cooked.

I am a convert although my grandmother died never having eaten fish and she made me believe that eating fish was like eating a snake.
I always have tilapia fillets in my freezer.

Here's a package defreezing ready to cook with some matoke later today.

When having a meal which includes fish in the menu, Holy nun ussualy removes the head of the fried fish and hands it over to me, I take them graciously and while I crunch their gills, head, mouth, she closses her eyes, she cant help watching me eat that

Nyeri, am forgetting the name of the exact place, there is a farm you can go and learn about fish farming.
As you start, you should know that the taste of pond fish and fresh water lake fish are very different and people will signal out. Most people prefer fresh water lake fish kama ya Naivasha because it's very tasty.
Have you ever asked yourself despite eateries around lake Naivasha being so dirty the place is usually full of people.

I haven't decided. I need advice on everything. I have identified that there could be a market. But on the side am also doing research based on the responses I am getting here.
