It doesn't necessarily have anything to do with tax avoidance. It is just a smart way of neutering the messaging by Raila.

Mans got all state machinery to get anything he wants done..but instead of going for it anakuja kwa media kucompain ka sisi.

Ala! You expect the president not to speak when people are threatening mass action and planning to disrupting businesses in Nairobi?

It is his job to reassure Kenyans and foreign investors that the country is stable. Just see what KLM posted about instability in Kenya but we're swiftly corrected.

You should be complaining why Raila is using fake information and extra-constitutional methods to try and destabilise the government.

I said in another thread what I think of this: everyone knows no election was rigged. Rao's strategy to keep his support base busy is public rallies and demos, like he has done until 2018. The president knows that as well, and Ignoring him is the best thing if he prioritizes work over politics.

Uhuru used teargas, and it only made things worse coz they had chance to loot and cause violence in streets. Naona huyu anampatia chance to do his thing, and no destruction is taking place. Supposing he's ignored completely?

The president is very witty throw every single supporter of azimio into mambo ya tax and they will realize they don't own companies and it's not worth fighting for since they won't enjoy the cake 🍰

Only a msiafu would argue this way. The right to protest against the high cost of living, high taxation everywhere and poor governance and administration of justice are enshrined in the Constitution . But wasiafu wanaona destabilization when peaceful meetings are called to discuss these issues.

Exactly. Don't use physical action. Allow them to hold their rallies as they are. Lakini allowing Raila to set narrative without a response would be wrong.

Ruth is using the rebuttals to promote his 'everybody must pay tax' agenda. The same way Raila was painted with the Puppet tag is the exact same way he is being portrayed to be promoting tax avoidance.
