Come to think of it, I haven't seen that connector.

A substitute could be a T connector plus an elbow on every corner, though it complicates life.

Wacha upus. The pipes are not meant for such applications. The pictures above do not communicate how wobbly the whole thing is. Do you see how the bottom rack sags from the weight of the shoes? That's how weak they are.
