Sendy have been doing this for ages, and they are not successful at it, the basic problem with transport of goods is the fundamental difference in the demand and supply patterns, with something like uber you tend to want to get from point A to point B irregardless of vehicle type or driver, with goods it's more planned and the schedule is pre planned, you don't want your precious cargo with some random guy and a vehicle which you're unsure about. With uber i don't get much benefit from having a relationship with the driver because if he's not around when i need him i can just hail another uber. With cargo it's actually beneficial to have a relationship and build trust with the driver for the purposes of security, this leads to a situation where the operator of the app will be losing customers due to friendship and side deals between drivers and customers who want their goods transported, why pay a middleman when you can pay the driver directly and everyone is happy.

That is the reason this model will always fail for B to C, it however has a chance when it comes to B to B.
