Daktari bandia

Okiya

Nikiwa pale Juba iko two times I was feeling unwell.

In the first instance nilikuwa naskia slight headache na kuumwa na mwili. Am normally not a fan of going to hospitals. I believe my body huwa na very strong immunity and it has never disappointed me. But in Juba one cannot take any risks. Anybody who has been to that country will tell you that Malaria ya Juba inakuua very fast. Never take chances.

So mimi huyo hadi hospitali. Kuingia pale nikatolewa damu then after 30 minutes results came out. It was Malaria and Typhoid. Another thing I need to tell you about that shit hole is that hata ukienda hospitali juu umevunjika mkono, lazima upewe dawa za malaria and typhoid.

So immediately nikawekwa kwa 5 days regimen ya malaria and typhoid.

Dawa ya Malaria ilikuwa sindano ya matako. Wueh!! I asked the doctor hakuna alternative? The doctor, let me put quotes on the word doctor juu that Ssebo hakunikalia daktari akasema hapana. Sindano it is.

So mimi nikatoa trouser na boxer, na nikalala kifudifudi. My frens, hiyo sindano sijui kama ilikuwa ya mtu ama zile KWS hushoot Rhinos ndio zilale. That shit was too painful. My ass went numb.

Once done with malaria injection it was time for typhoid. The "doctor" put some medicine then akaanza kuni inject kwa mkono. I literally could feel my hand burning. Alikuwa anaweka kama 5ml napiga nduru then anatulia kwanza uchungu iishe. That medicine took like 30minutes kumalizika.

Day two it was the same shit same cast. Sindano ya KWS kwa matako na moto ya shetani kwa mkono.

After day 3 I couldn't handle that shit anymore. Nilisema sirudi that hosi tena. Matako ilikuwa ishaganda.

The following weekend I boarded a flight to Nairobi. Immediately wife took me to hospital for checkup. When I told the doctor I was being treated for malaria and typhoid, he was very shocked. Tests showed that I only had flu.

I vowed never to step inside a hospital in Juba anymore. However, 3 years later I fell ill nikaenda hospitali but a different one and of course I was misdiagnosed

Year 2013 , my son had some very bad fever and we rushed him to Kikuyu Hospital Ile ya PCEA .One of the procedure was to get the fluid from the spinal cord .The medic struggled I almost took my kid to another hospital .The boy cried for so long .Then came the time for fitting that drip thing .Shait the medic alimdunga kwa kichwa mkono , feet akitafuta vein .After that nilichukia hiyo hospital .As a matter of fact the staff who did all this was a trainee and not a doctor as we later realised .Never again.
They are the same guys who made me pay a tidy sum,as I was forced to buy some custom made plastic legs support things ati sababu the kids legs were not straight only when I sort opinion from Dr Mohan Lumba akaniambia mtoto Hana shida ya miguu .I later went to MP Shah and they told me all was well .

seeking a medical opinion in Kenya ni kucheza karata. better try three different specialists in different counties and of different age sets.

I blame the low standards on the hyper monetization of Medicare in the country. It's so bad hospitals in conjunction with doctors and nurses will refuse to admit you if you don't have a cash deposit.

Also, the first question most doctors will ask is, "unalipa cash ama insurance?" ole wako useme insurance, they will admit you inpatient and if you're expectant, they will nudge you towards the more expensive cesarean section. Cash payers will most likely be treated as outpatient.

The most painful and risky.Getting the csf.One slight error and you are on a wheel chair the rest of your life

I once attended a dermatologist clinic and my treatment involved an injection. A certain nurse who I think was unqualified injected me in the wrong way and my sitting apparatus became swollen with pus and I had to undergo a painful minor operation to remove the pus. I almost lost my leg. Another time, I attended a certain clinic for malaria treatment and they gave me ineffective medicine. The malaria worsened and almost killed me. I got healed by throwing away those drugs and buying AL.

Mostly these happens in upcoming private hospitals. However much we castigate our public hospitals, our doctors are always top notch kwanza wazee wazee.
These youngins in the private hospitals just Google as you watch.

Dying on some parts of this world is very easy, especially with this new breed of salary doctors. Pole sana...

I lost a daughter to misdiagnosis. I don't take consultations lightly. Pole jaduong Kwa masaibu.
The greatest blunder we made is assuming everyone with an aggregate of 48 points in kcse is supposed to be a medic.
Pole, very true about our system. It pains me too seeing a science student thrown to arts.

Such experiences made me look for my childhood doctors, wale was 80s even if far. I take the young ones for proper check up.
One thing am always advised, 80% of the ailments emanate from what you ingest and environmental factors. I trust older docs.
