Converting petrol powered waterpump to use lpg (gas)

In a farm we always aim at producing more with less inputs. So we converted this pump and we are happy .

Reasons?

1. Lower Fuel Costs: LPG is generally cheaper than petrol, reducing overall running costs.

2. Cleaner Emissions: LPG burns cleaner, producing fewer pollutants, which is better for the environment.

3. Longer Engine Life: The cleaner combustion process reduces carbon deposits, prolonging the pump's lifespan.

4. Reduced Maintenance: LPG-powered engines require less frequent maintenance due to fewer residues.

5. Better Storage: LPG can be stored for longer periods without degrading, unlike petrol which deteriorates over time.

6. Quiet Operation: LPG engines tend to operate more quietly, reducing noise pollution on the farm.

7. Convenient Refueling: Refilling LPG is often more straightforward in areas where cylinders are readily available.

"It's either we win, or they lose!"

Kilimo biashara the essence in all this is always to cut down on production cost and maximise on profits, how do you compare it with the use of diesel, and can we convert the diesel powered engine to use LPG?

Sure ,lpg saves 40-50% production cost . It's more easier and effective to convert petrol pump than diesel pump. Again for diesel pump , diesel is used to cool the system so you can not convert it fully.
