Chadian President Idris Deby Killed on the Battlefront

President Idris Deby has died from injuries sustained on the battlefront over the weekend, a few days after winning the presidential election. This marks the end of his 30-year rule that begun in 1990 after he overthrew the then president, Hissene Habre.
