Bumps along Langata Road

Langata Road and traffic jams are synonymous.

At least that's how it was in those BC (Before Corona) times. Thika Road has shown how bumps make traffic snarl-ups worse.

Anyway, some necessary bumps were erected at the Junction of Carnivore which makes sense since there's a lot of development happening all around Wilson Airport meaning more people.

The said bumps made traffic a bit slow but the ones I don't get ni mpya zimewekwa outside Langata Barracks.

Granted, it's for the same reason they were put up but I think a simple footbridge would've been better ama just zebra crossing.

When the 'old normal' returns, watu watakipata na ile traffic itakuwa ina form especially in the evenings outbound.

Zingine that are accompanied by countless rumble strips pia zimekuwa outside Wildlife Clubs of Kenya yet I've never seen someone cross the road hapo.

On top of it, just before the Bomas overpass, zingine tena!

Maybe this is an unnecessary rant but I think our road developers are very enthusiastic about putting bumps up. Granted, many motorists are reckless but there should be a balance.
One day I'll tell you a hekaya on how I once flew almost out of the road due to encountering a monstrous 'Kilimanjaro' shaped bump between Embu and Mwea..

Every new road in the country need bumps, maybe they need clear paint, regularly. Kenya drivers are carelessly. Travelling from Nairobi to kakamega through kapsabet nilikaut bumps nikichoka.( Good road except between kapsabet and chevakali )

Sir, you can't build foot-bridges every 300 metres. Those bumps are necessary, except those just before the Bomas over-pass.

As for the traffic after Corona, hopefully the Kibra by-pass will be complete by then.

PS: Kumbe pictures can make a drab place look so nice...................

Juu unaishi hizo pande why is Uhuru gardens fenced?.
