Langata Road and traffic jams are synonymous.
At least that's how it was in those BC (Before Corona) times. Thika Road has shown how bumps make traffic snarl-ups worse.
Anyway, some necessary bumps were erected at the Junction of Carnivore which makes sense since there's a lot of development happening all around Wilson Airport meaning more people.
The said bumps made traffic a bit slow but the ones I don't get ni mpya zimewekwa outside Langata Barracks.
Granted, it's for the same reason they were put up but I think a simple footbridge would've been better ama just zebra crossing.
When the 'old normal' returns, watu watakipata na ile traffic itakuwa ina form especially in the evenings outbound.
Zingine that are accompanied by countless rumble strips pia zimekuwa outside Wildlife Clubs of Kenya yet I've never seen someone cross the road hapo.
On top of it, just before the Bomas overpass, zingine tena!
Maybe this is an unnecessary rant but I think our road developers are very enthusiastic about putting bumps up. Granted, many motorists are reckless but there should be a balance.
One day I'll tell you a hekaya on how I once flew almost out of the road due to encountering a monstrous 'Kilimanjaro' shaped bump between Embu and Mwea..
