Baringo: Bandits Kill Police Inspector

Baringo County:
Mochongoi Police Station.
Pokot Bandits kill an Inspector, go with his firearm.

On 11-03-2022 at 1700hrs, Pokot Bandits ambushed police officers from LAMAIWE GSU camp.
They fataly shot inspector WYCLIFFE.
Other police officers injured are:
PC Joseph
PC Kizito
PC Abraham .

Body lies at Nyahururu Referral Hospital.
 
Dealing with pokotis is extremely hard man. How can you even distinguish one ghasia from another? Sio vile polisi can come looking for a murderer/thief in a village and the villagers know who he is. They all look the same and do the same shiet. Unless you massacre all of them, theyll forever be a problem.
Pale home watu waliamua wakiibiwa they'll be persuing the cattle upto where the footprints dissapear. Wenyeji wa hiyo place will have to produce them or their cattle taken away. Few instances ngombe za hao pokotis and samburus zmechukuliwa and surprisingly, it's working to prevent further theft.

The same was applied in Mukutani and they ceased for sometime and then when their distant kin were about to attack, we would know, since the neighboring pokots would start moving their animals away.
Became a good indicator of a pending attack.

Some communities in Kenya are over-policed and stopped from openly carrying arms.
Those from pastoralist communities seem to have a free reign. Just look at the picture here as an example.
Unless the government stops the double standard, bearing arms should be a constitutional right for every Kenyan. So that every man or woman can be the first line of defence to protect family and property.
Why can't communities in regions of Nyanza, Mt. Kenya, Western, Eastern and Coast regions be allowed to carry guns legally and openly in the villages ?

What if we restricted cattle movement? No crossing subcounty boundaries without informing the administration. Each county must have a unique cattle branding/marking. Ukiona masikio ya ngombe unajua hii ni ya Lokichogio. We could even have ear tags with GPS to help track stolen animals.

A law already exists to this effect. To move animals across counties, you must have a no-objection letter issued by the vet department.
