Bank loans vs Title deeds

When seeking a loan with your title deed, should you leave the financial institution with your original title deed or a copy of the same? #TitleDeedConversion

Me think
Original title deed, the land ownership should be joined by the ministry of lands between the institution and the owner of the land... In that way no one side/party will sell the land without the consent of the other.

There is a process of registering the charge at the ministry of lands which will be reflected on the title deed. The lender will also keep the title after the charge is registered.
