Accident; Kama Vile Ripley's Believe It or Not...

Mayekeke

Occured at the Limuru-Maai Mahiu underpass. Clearly the driver and whoever did the route plan didn't know their dimensions well.

Deflating the tyres...makosa ni ya route planner. He should be solely and individually responsible.
Nilikuwa nataka kukukosoa and say its the drivers fault...but you have a point, if the route planner said that was the route and the driver made it all the way he must have had enough confidence that the route planner was right, the driver cannot go checking every bridge he comes across and he has a schedule to keep.

But then again bridge imeandikwa height hapo juu, the driver should have been keen on that.

But why are you assuming 5.5 metre is correct maybe it's less .We know KeNHA and the China man can sometimes mislead us .
But I have also noted hii truck ni repurposed ,ideally the platform is built to carry excavators , bulldozers etc .You can tell by the loading ramp at the back .The tyre size for the trailer is also same size as cabin (very high).Ideally for low loaders the tyre size is smaller to ensure the abnormal cargo centre of gravity is at the lowest.Kama hii hapa chini.

Neither of that is the drivers fault, not unless he is the owner of the truck or company

The person behind the steering is responsible for measuring the height of the load he is carrying.
You are literally supposed to measure the height using tape measure before setting off. If you can then prove that the sign was misleading then you are not to blame.

Angalia huyu wa double decker school bus just recently in England bahati no kids were seriously injured.

My junior has a program in startime, short in UK. He can't miss it. Its about these trucks, very organized company, trusted by British army in relocating their military hardware, heavy equipment transport, farming equipment name it , plan for every job ,involving police, local authority and all necessary escorts. Lakini hapa Kenya unakuta zingine zinakata even power lines !
