For four centuries, slavery was normalized and made to look normal by the power structures of the day. For a century, colonialism was entrenched and made to seem acceptable by the White man. Today, Western capitalism rules and is revered as if it is god-ordained. In the same way we wonder how slavery and colonialism flourished for so long amidst rationale beings, tomorrow’s generations will wonder why people persevered Western capitalism for so long.
