True, niliona kwa news how 3 different families are crying for justice after their sons were tortured and or gunned down by police in different parts of Nairobi and it left me with a bad taste. This needs to stop, IPOA, Amnesty International and Muhuri need to up their game too.

There are three types of people with guns out there. Law enforcers, rogue law enforcers and criminals.
-Law enforcers will use their guns well and use them when it is very necessary.

-Rogue law enforcers -These range from those who do deals with criminals to sicklings who allow power to cloud their thinking and kill because they can. Sometimes they also kill to remove evidence.

Then we have the criminals. - They could be contract killers, organized gangs who kill for turf, for tithes not paid, for deals gone sour. Heck even suspicion of snitching could lead to people being killed.

Any of the last two could have killed the trio and left the bodies to be discovered.

Three suspected thugs were on today morning gunned in Githurai after reportedly stealing a private vehicle in Kayole, Nairobi.

The three died in a gun fight with police officers on the Mwiki-Githurai 45 road.

Police said "One of the suspects ran off towards Mwiki with gunshot injuries".
It is reported the thugs stole a white Toyota Probox of registration plate KBZ 113S in Saika area in Kayole, Nairobi on Thursday night. Police have since confirmed that the vehicle belongs to one Francis Gatambi, a resident of Kayole.

A police report filed at the Githurai Mwiki Police Station under the OB Number 4/29/10/2021 reads "The owner was contacted, and he confirmed that the vehicle was missing from where he had parked it on Thursday night,”.
Authorities say the suspects had “interfered with the ignition, and used an improvised metallic rod to start the car”.

Police say the suspects ignored stop orders on the Mwiki-Githurai road at 3am, persuading a chase and ensuing exchange of gunfire.
Bodies of the deceased were moved to the City Mortuary. No identification documents were found on them, police said.
