In my opinion, we should not have any more buildings that are more that 4 floors approved in the Nairobi area.
The city and its infrastructure is struggling.
I don't know what breed of fools we have in the approval and planning offices, zoning is not anywhere close to the tiny corrupt brains.
The public had to claim back it's power, as it is clear our systems have failed.

Nope, we have to expand the city and or improve infrastructure. Get good transport systems and make people not depend on personal cars as much.

If they improved,like they are trying to do,the transport network around Nairobi,there are so many satellite towns that are bedroom communities for Nairobi. Athi River,Kitengela,Syokimau,Rongai,Ngong,Machakos,Ruiru,Juja,Kangundo Road,Limuru,Kikuyu and many more.
People do not have to squeeze in small pockets just because they want to be near Nairobi.

Zoning is very important but we must respect the fact that land will never increase at same rate with population
In 80s kasarani was just but a bush !
Today unakuta mtu alijenga mansion and his neighbour sells an empty plot at millions.
The new owner put flats, 12 floors with a lift ! Have seen elderly senior citizens having to relocate, no privacy !
The by laws must be clear and respected !

Also think about the property value of those that already invested there.
If the reputation of the place collapses (kama BuruBuru/ Jericho etc) then they will all lose.
But those are the problems of the rich.
