Why do Kenyans hate bicycles?

Every morning you find rivers of human beings walking to work in Nairobi because they can't afford bus fare.

Examples: Kibera and many parts of Eastlands that are less than 5km away from the industrial area.

It would be more sensible to ride a bike than to tire oneself to and from work. That would also save an individual 100 bob(at least) fare per day.

Bicycles are cheap and affordable. Mitumba(2nd hand) ones are also available for a song. Am also sure a lot of employer's would make provisions for bicycle loans for their employees.

The terrain in most towns is mostly flat and comfortable for a bicycle ride.

Yet apart from kina @Meria with their fancy bikes, you only find a watchman or two who enjoy this healthy habit
Riding on which roads?

The only time I did put me ass on a bicycle was when riding in my village roads. These days I can not dare, safety has become a scarce commodity with the increase of nduthis and cars.

You should have asked which town...maybe what I call a town is just another 'mung'etho' comprising of two shanties housing a shop cum hotel and a bar! 😂 😂 😂
I know you can't say it here. Our "Mung'etho' (local shopping centre for non Greeks) is dead. It's near where a prominent kriminal met his maker. All the same you get my point
