May be you should first get her admitted so that the nurses can guide you on what extras might be required. Most of the extra items should be available in the vicinity. Pole.Hi, taking my mum to hosi kesho, Kijabe mission to be admitted. Enyi wenye experience, what do I need to buy/carry to make her stay there as comfortable as possible
A young girl with an ectopic pregnancy, was charged 450K for a 4 days stay and surgery that was one week ago.Pole Shocks. QR to your mum.
Kijabe mission is a missionary hospital which has outlived its usefulness. It's high costs make it inaccessible to locals. Even the docs there prefer to have their kin treated elsewhere coz of the exorbitant costs. My bro in law (not the disabled one) works there and when my dad needed a knee surgery, the hospital gave a quote of 680k. The same was done at Tenwek for 350k by the same consultant who would have done it at Kijabe. It is however a good hospital in terms of quality of service.
You may want to establish the full costs beforehand unless you are ready for a shocker bill.
