Diego Pablo Simeone left the pitch quickly after the final whistle and part of the Manchester United fans threw objects at the Atlético de Madrid coach. In the Argentine's race towards the tunnel, the rain of objects almost hit Simeone's head and body. He even had to dodge some on his way into Old Trafford. Simeone didn’t stop to react to what was going on and instead carried on legging it down the tunnel and towards the away changing room to wait for his squad.
