Actually KQ also relentlessly lobbied back in 2018 when Emirates wanted to add a 3rd NBO-DXB flight. A compromise was reached and EK remained with two daily though KQ wanted them to actually have one daily flight

Actually Emirates has been trying for the third flight since back in 2008. Good atleast we've kept them at 2.

I love how Nigerian government always stands for its people. They fully apply the reciprocal relations in international affairs and are respected as an equal partner by all.
At one point I was in Accra waiting for a flight to Johannesburg. All of a sudden there were sporadic clapping sounds from a number of passengers watching news on tv. The latest news was about how South Africa government had refused Nigerian businessmen arrival visas at Oliver Tambo Airport.
One of them called his government contact person back in Abuja. The Nigeria government applied instant reciprocal response. On the same day, with immediate effect South Africans landing in Abuja and Lagos airports were sent packing back to SA.
In a panic, White Kaburu businessmen forced their government to rescind the SA no arrival visa requirement.

If it were Kenyan government, it would take over six months to retaliate (reciprocal relations) if they ever do. Kenyans faced the same fate and to this day, I have no idea how our Ministry of Foreign Affairs resolved the matter.

How come senyetas have not brought the ki.nyarras into the war between Nigeria and Emirates. I was expecting them to say the kinyarra family is behind all this coz they want to expand to lagos and dubai.

Do we say they have balls...
Kenyans also have big balls.
The difference is once a Nigerian is appointed to a post, they have full authority to act in their area of responsibility without fear.
Unlike Kenya where most ministers are afraid to make hard decisions but always looking behind their shoulder incase they step on the toes of a cartel.
