It is a component of a larger project that has been running since 2018 supported by IFAD and the World Bank. How you take and treat this information is up to you.

The idea should be much older than 2018 if my memory serves me right. The thing is, I suspect haste in the current implementation. For instance, the directive requiring CECs to recruit 25 remunerators between 23rd December and 7th January seems somewhat unrealistic, especially when you consider the holidays in between.

Siasa ni mbovu kabisa. Notice how on the maize crop, the breadbasket of the narion has been excluded. No Trans Nzoia, Uasin Gishu, and Nandi counties. Nyasi zinaumia.

There are timelines for different components and late last year I noticed a rush to complete various foreseen trainings. I would want to think the rush has something to do with the release of the next instalment of funds rather than politics.

Hata kwetu Nyandarua hakuna...

Edit: Your counties may be promoting other value chains other than maize. Like in Kirinyaga, Garissa, Kajiado and a few others with irrigation water they are promoting tomatoes....
