The only reason Trump is attacking the WHO is because they do not do his bidding, he is a politician whose style is bullying anyone who stands between himself and his position, if you were keen enough you would know Trump has brought the WTO to its knees simply because they also do not back his trade war with China.
He also pulled the US out of numerous treaties agreed upon decades ago with allies like NAFTA, the Transpacific Parternship, the Paris Climate accord, he has even rolled back laws made by America's Congress simply because he insists on having his way so there is nothing new here, just Trump using state power to bring an international organisation under his control.
