You might have observed that your grandfather's bike served more than one generation, whereas your recently-bought bike might not survive a few drunken excursions. People have made these observations, the only issue is that they have no logical explanation to qualify their claims. However, if you probe the technical aspects of the items under comparison, you will find sound, solid, logical explanations.
And no, those were not snide remarks. That is the honest assessment of a super-hardened tool user ( with some patronizing demeanor; it feels god to be the teacher).
