Imagine taking away the joy of youth from a child in the name of completing a syllabus that they will forget in 2 months.
Imagine taking away the joy of going to the countryside and meeting your cousins, uncles & aunties and grandparents.
Imagine the time they had planned to meet their first crush. The time they had planned to play that video game and play that sport.
Taken away from them in the name of completing 8-4-4.
Remember waking up early on the last day of the school term. Uniform sparking. Shoes shining. The excitement of leaving that hell hole called school.
All of that stolen by a stupid government and enforced by clueless parents who fail to understand why their youth is committing arson and running away from that shithole.

These kids are weak, let's start at that, it's how the world has evolved. It isn't an isolated case for Kenya, it's happening all over the world.
They can't persevere any hardships.
To be fair to them, they're also living in trying times, non of us has ever gone through this kind of situation, covid and digital age while coming up.
Educators need to be more creative in their approach.
