Months ago he turned town the hopes of many fans with a post that he his LGBTQ rights are not being respected in the series and he cant be part of it.

I don't think they will go on with the series. Once the star actor has withdrawn it is highly likely that the series will go down in ratings and eventually go down in terms of viewings.
