5 minutes from Watamu town, on Marine Park Road, in the Kenyan Coast is a hidden gem that most visitors to the coastal town of Watamu don't know about. It is a mysterious temple ruin, whose only remains is a intricately designed overhanging arch which takes one back to over 800 years ago when it is believed to have been built.
Historians believe that this temple could have stood by the entrance to the port city of Gede whose main ruins are a couple of minutes away.
It is located in the grounds of the appropriately named Temple Point Resort and one has to go through the hotel grounds to get to the temple ruin. There is not entrance fee, so it's easily accessible.
