A sacred fig tree seems to stand guard on one of the cave entrances
the cave floor is usually wet as it acts as drainage. If you look closely you can see hyena footprints on the mud
One cannot fail to get a feeling that this area represents transition to another realm of existence
erosion that has taken place over millennia is clearly visible on the exposed strata on the cave walls. the cave roof is sooty indicating extended habitation in times past. the floor may contain archeological artifacts.
