The stories I have heard regarding this marvellous piece of technology are amazing
One of them is that you could travel and speeds higher than time. As a result, an evening western-bound flight treated passengers to a spectacular view of the sun rising from the west.
And an early morning east-bound flight gave the view of a sun setting in the east.

The other story (this one from a keg base) is that the plane required chains fixed along the runway to arrest it's speed.
