There is consequences when governments become careless with their official documents. Unajua one reason Nigerians have such a hard time travelling, with finance institutions, with international education / qualification accreditation. Its coz the international community doesn't seem to believe any document coming out of Nigeria is legit

Of course, there will be the normal checks, but not the kind where one is supposed to present documents proving the Kenyan citizenship of their great grandfather who did not possess a single document. The issue here is vetting procedures that prevent genuine cases from acquiring IDs while allowing illegal cases. Actually, most shiny eyes would be without IDs if the same stringent procedures were applied in Central.

It's one of those government functions that are too messed up to repaired, much like traffic police in most traffic checkpoints. Both were constituted to prevent illegalities, but with time they became enablers of the same illegalities.

It takes the right kind of leadership and enforcement, things that are lacking from the top leadership in government all the way to the bottom.
